Questions physicians ask
I already send my codes to another vendor.
Alberta Health Services routes each physician to one vendor only, so filing the form moves your codes to AivaMD.
A file came before my account was verified.
It is kept, not lost, and handed to you as soon as you are verified.
Why are some rows held back?
Voided charges and charges billed to another payer - WCB, self-pay, out of province - are not Alberta Health claims, so they are held back and counted on the file.
What if a charge is already billed?
A service already sent to Alberta Health for the same patient, day and code is not created again, because Alberta Health would refuse the copy. The review tells you which ones.
Does anything ever go to Alberta Health on its own?
No. A file only becomes claims when you press the button.
